PROPEL Overview

The PROPEL series is designed for K-12 librarians and media specialists to enhance their vital role in supporting K-12 curriculum development and instruction. The series may also be appropriate for educational outreach professionals associated with museums, historic sites, or public libraries.

PROPEL is comprised of 30 hours of instruction, divided into six 5-hour workshops. Attendees receive certification as a Primary Resource Specialist and are qualified to conduct further training within their school or district.


An Adventure of the American Mind is made available through a Library of Congress grant funded by the U.S. Congress. AAM is administered through the Education and Research Consortium of the Western Carolinas Inc.
